TECHNOLOGIES

Farmers Helping Farmers have partnered with the Wakulima Dairy Coop and are investing in two technologies that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Kenya

Biogas Generators

These simple, but effective units capture methane given off by composting cow manure and make it available for household cooking. It reduces greenhouse gases in two ways. First it prevents the release of methane, which is a particularly harmful type of greenhouse gas. Second, it reduces the burning of wood for cooking. They have a number of other beneficial effects.

Fuel Efficient Cookers

These cookers are designed for use in institutions such as schools where a lot of wood is used in the preparation of meals for students. They greatly reduce wood consumption and have a number of other significant beneficial effects.
