Asante to Chef Emily Wells for a $10,000 donation from the Thanksgiving Weekend Fundraising Dinners

How thankful are we for Chef Emily Wells! Her Thanksgiving Weekend fundraising dinners raised an amazing $10,000. It's the biggest donation ever and we are very, very grateful.

Farmers Helping Farmers was delighted to partner again with Chef Emily Wells and her team at The Mill in New Glasgow. The money raised by Emily’s meals will support the work of the Farmers Helping Farmers Education committee, including school food programs.

In a year where Farmers Helping Farmers has had to cancel several major fundraisers because of COVID-19, we are more grateful than ever for the support of Chef Emily, and everyone who came out to enjoy her meals in support of our work in Kenya.

On behalf of all of our partners in Kenya, asante to Chef Emily Wells and her crew, FHF volunteers and the producers who donated to these meals.

Thank you to UPEI students Natalia Mena-Guzman, Celina Gonzalez, Jillian Stewart, Megan Phelan, Kaylee Ten Yen Ain, Annika Wadlegger and Manson Hwong.

Thanks also to our own Ellen Cudmore, who washed dishes as well as donating potatoes!

Emily also wants to thank Greg Caseley  of Caseley's Bridal Boutique for the loan of 100 plates for the big event.

And for more people to thank, please check out the list from the event's menu! What amazing support for this very meaningful event.

Asante all.
