The 8th Annual Farmers Helping Farmers run took place Saturday, Sept 23, 2017, starting and finishing at Three Oaks Senior High in Summerside.
About 60 runners took part in the run that went through Heather Moyse Park and the full length of the boardwalk along the beautiful Summerside waterfront.
Draw prizes were donated by local businesses, with snacks provided by the Summerside Superstore and the Three Oaks Culinary class.
The event raised $800, with 100% of the proceeds going to the twinned school of Three Oaks in Kenya, Michogomone Secondary.
One of the run's organizers, teacher Tammy Craig, travelled to Kenya in 2015.
She was pleased to have 30 Three Oaks students volunteering the day of the run.
She says it was wonderful to have so many students involved!!
